Attractiveness, reindustrialization, and decarbonization of the economy. To face those three current challenges, Bpifrance has launched a new platform, Tech in Fab, to pool industries and startups strengths together.

A platform for industries and startups

Tech in Fab is the platform launched by Bpifrance to make the industrial and innovation ecosystems join forces. Through this website, French industrial SMEs and Midcaps and innovative stratups can easily meet and collaborate. The goal is to make industrial companies more digital and innovative, while startups can find new commercial opportunities.

The website offers free of charge educational contents about innovation for industrialists, a list of tech solutions providers classified by types and by goals, use cases and testimonies, call for projects, etc. An easy way for industries to find more information about innovation and to become more competitive. Tech actors can also directly update their data, find and respond to call for projects published by industrial companies.

Why Tech in Fab?

Tech in Fab is the association of La French Tech and La French Fab. La French Fab represents the French industrial ecosystem; La French Tech gathers the French startup ecosystem actors, and is the leading digital ecosystem in Europe. Among the 15,000 French Tech companies, 9% (which represents 1,300 to 2,020 companies) are identified as “start-up with an industrial vocation”, and 500 of them can be considered as Deeptech, creating disruptive technologies.

Based on this observation, Bpifrance wishes to encourage collaboration between the two worlds. A teamwork to become even more competitive, and to initiate a shift towards 4.0 industries.
