Our crazy events
Bpifrance organises events all-year round to encourage entrepreneurs to be bigger, bolder and better. These events help entrepreneurs realise all the possibilities that they hadn’t even dared to dream of for their businesses! We organise small scale events to encourage networking amongst businesses (the more people you know, the better!) as well as huge exciting events that entrepreneurs as well as normal folk travel from world-wide to attend. See below for more details!
Bpifrance innogeneration is the largest meet up of entrepreneurs (and aspiring entrepreneurs!) in Europe that takes place every year around October at the Accorhotel Arena in Paris.
Last year’s theme was “Tomorrow” and was the thread for the day’s activities. The highlights of last year’s edition were:
Guest speakers on the Bang: We had 100 top speakers on the main stage giving hugely inspiring talks. There were too many to list them all, but last year’s speakers included: Edouard Philippe, France’s Prime Minister, Henri Seydoux, co-founder of Parrot, Xavier Niel, founder of Niel, Isabelle Kocher, executive director of Engie, Agnès B, founder of the eponymous fashion brand and many more…!
Festival of Innovations: come discover the latest innovations that will change the face of tomorrow in the dedicated festival of innovations area. Last year more than 100 products and services were on show, to the delight of many.
15000 business connections: Big things can happen for your businesses if you choose to attend Bpifrance Innogeneration. There is a dedicated area in the arena for one-to-one business meetings as well as other opportunities throughout the day to meet other businesses.
Continental Platforms: Thinking of bringing your business abroad but need a little push? There is a wealth of information provided at the different continental platforms throughout the arena. The different workshops and conferences by our guest speakers will inspire you to conquer new territories!
Jour I is an event held annually to encourage French businesses to conquer new territories. During this day entrepreneurs hear expert advice from champions who have already dared to export overseas, as well as specialists from different fields. Last year more than 600 entrepreneurs descended upon Lyon to take part in workshops, hear best practises from entrepreneurs that have already exported abroad, network with other entrepreneurs and meet with all the France export team. Ex rugby man Laurent Pakihivatau ended the day with a bang by teaching the entire stadium how to do the haka, thus emboldening the entrepreneurs to export and implant their businesses overseas.
As Nicolas Dufourcq says: “Expanding internationally is a way to transform your business and attract young talent. It is also a marker for innovation and competitivity”.
Next year’s edition will take place in Nantes on the 22nd of May.
