Challenge of the 1000 Entrepreneurs
Challenge of the 1000 Entrepreneurs is a joint initiative of Digital Africa and the Africa-France Summit.
This event was to be held in Bordeaux (France) from 4 to 6 June 2020 and was to gather 1000 African entrepreneurs to present their solutions dedicated to sustainable cities and territories.
In view of the situation, the summit was postponed to 2021 but the challenge still took place !
Bpifrance is a partner in this initiative and a member of the Selection Committee.
The selection meets various criteria such as being an African entrepreneur, having an activity related to the sustainable city, proposing an innovative or replicable solution, at lower cost and with a strong impact to make French and African cities more sustainable from an environmental and social point of view, and finally registering on the Digital Africa platform.
The final list must respect gender parity and a geographical balance of origin of the Entrepreneurs.
The winners of the 1000 Entrepreneurs Challenge were announced on Friday 5 June 2020 and will be able to benefit from a support programme that will run until the end of the year.
